By collecting items for shoeboxes, we are providing a tangible gift to children around the world and supporting local churches worldwide in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the children.
Collection box: Each month we collect a different category of items for packing in the shoeboxes which will be sent on their journey in November.
October is filling in our supplies: wind-up flashlights, solar calculators. How about writing an encouraging note to the child who will receive the box. Donations of $10 will help with shipping costs.
Remember they all have to fit in a standard size shoebox. As always, you can drop off any items in the OCC collection box, even if it is not our ‘special’ request of the month.
Packing opportunities: We will be having a Shoebox workshop Oct. 22nd at 1-3pm in our Fellowship Hall. Also on Oct 29 from 1-3 pm. No experience necessary. Come join us for some packing fun and fellowship while supporting this important mission.
